Cherry Banana Soft Serve Recipe

Ingredients: Two frozen bananas, 1 cup frozen cherries, and ½ cup milk (or just enough to blend).

Method: Thaw cherries and banana in cold water until they’re just a little mushy. Put all of the ingredients in a relatively powerful blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Put it in a freezer for a few hours if you want it to be stiffer and more like regular ice cream. Top with your favorite extras and enjoy!

Maple Nut Granola Recipe

Ingredients: 1 and ½ cups rolled (“old fashioned”) oats, 5 tablespoons maple syrup(if you like granola on the sweeter side you may want to add a few tablespoons more), 1 tablespoon canola (or coconut) oil, and ½ cup mixed nuts (I used cashews, almonds, and macadamias).

Method: Preheat oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop the nuts roughly with a knife or food processor, then put all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix them together until all of the oats and nuts are coated in the syrup and oil. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once finished baking, stir the mixture once more then let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Store in an airtight container in a cool place. Enjoy with milk as a cereal or with yogurt and fruit!
